Hourly rates: $16.00- $18.00 will be determined based of experience in same or similar position.

The Activities/Recreation Assistant will assist in the coordination and implementation of programs and one-on-one activities for our residents in our Nursing, Assisted Living, and/or Memory care units. Activities can include but are not limited to exercise, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, cognitive games, reminisce, spiritual programs, and sensory activities. The Activities/Recreation Assistant also assists in creating, planning, and leading the weekly calendar of events. This position will also provide/assist with transportation for residents to outings and events.

What you need:

• Previous experience working with Seniors and/or persons with Dementia or other memory disorders is desirable.
• Availability to work a minimum of one weekend a month & holidays interchangeably.
• High school diploma
• Vibrant and uplifting demeanor.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to promote engagement with large groups and individuals with different abilities in programs designed to enhance their overall quality of life.
