We would like to welcome our new CEO/President, Gary Handley. Gary most recently served as the Executive Director for the Palms of Fort Myers, where he spearheaded a successful mission to become one of the first senior living communities in the U.S. to receive the J.D. Powers Senior Living Certificate.
Gary comes to Falcons Landing with over 20 years of experience leading healthcare organizations. He has served in various roles, ranging from Managing Director for a private nursing home in southern Sweden to serving as the Executive Director for one of southwest Florida’s premier Life Plan Communities.
Gary retired from military service as a Major in 2000, after 21 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and United States Army National Guard. He was awarded his Fellowship of the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2019 and holds the designation as a Certified Director of Assisted Living by the Senior Living Certification Commission. Gary is also certified as a Dementia Partner by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Norwich University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Gary brings to Falcons Landing a broad range of talent and enthusiasm for Senior Living. His experience in dementia care and assisted living will be a catalyst as we begin to open our new
memory care building, Hillside House in 2021. His leadership will continue to foster the excellence in retirement living that is Falcons Landing. We are thrilled to welcome Gary to the Falcons Family!
