Falcons Landing is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Jon Garber as President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 16, 2026. “After an extensive national search, the Board has found in Jon an ideal candidate who shares the vision of Falcons Landing and brings experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine caring within him to the position,” said Jeff Jellerson, Search Committee Chair. Jon recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Interim President and CEO for Falcons Landing.
Jon has more than 25 years of leadership experience in supporting senior living communities across the country. His extensive experience includes operational management, strategic planning, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional resident experiences. Prior to finding his passion for working within senior living communities, Jon worked as a Hospital Administrator, where he played a key role in developing and operating hospitals and healthcare organizations.
Asked for his leadership philosophy, Jon replied, “Take care of those that care for those we are called to serve.” Excited to be joining Falcons Landing, he stated, "It is humbling, a privilege, and a great honor to have the opportunity to serve such a great organization such as Falcons Landing that exemplifies a depth of culture and a resolute, lasting mission of providing a quality of life for all seniors, especially the men and women who served our country in uniform. Jon earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from George Washington University and continues his affiliation with higher education by mentoring students in the Healthcare Administration Program. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Jon spends time with his wife and three grown children, plus his granddaughter. He is an avid supporter of animal rescue organizations.

Falcons Landing, based in Potomac Falls, Virginia is an award-winning, CARF accredited, not for-profit Life Plan Community (LPC) near Washington, D.C., founded in 1996 by the Air Force Retired Officers Community (AFROC) to serve retired U.S. military officers and their families. The vision for the community emerged from a group of senior military leaders and supporters who recognized the need for a high-quality retirement option that honored military service while providing long-term security and access to health care. While originally limited to retired military officers and their spouses, residency eligibility expanded over time to include non-military financially qualified individuals, allowing the community to grow while maintaining its military heritage and culture of service.
