We are excited to give you an update on Falcons Landing’s Terrace Homes expansion project! These two gorgeous buildings will each have 24 brand-new Independent living apartments—the first new construction since our community’s inception. Despite all the unexpected events this year, our construction continues at a brisk pace and we anticipate the first move-ins will take place in early 2021.
“What has been so exciting about the Terrace Homes is that we are able to design them for just what today’s seniors are looking for in a residence,” said Barbara Brannon, President & CEO of Falcons Landing. “We have worked very closely with our architect and construction company to create a contemporary design that included all the features and luxury finishes popular in new homes. We incorporated all the elements of universal design that makes a home user-friendly and supports residents as they age in place. We also engaged focus groups of current and prospective residents to work with us on design and identifying the features they view as important in a home.”
All the Modern Conveniences
These luxury Terrace Home apartments—12 units in each building—feature open-concept floor plans with abundant lighting and modern finishes throughout, wide-plank flooring, large walk-in closets and storage galore. According to CEO Brannon, “These apartments were designed so if a resident’s mobility and accessibility needs change, the design will support them.” Some examples are wide doorways, seamless thresholds between rooms and large, easy-to-navigate bathrooms and kitchen. There is also be one fully, accessible, ADA-compliant apartment in the project.”
One of the best elements of the design is, chef’s kitchens. They have large islands for entertaining, quartz countertops, plenty of cabinet storage, and a great appliance package. There are also important safety features, such as a state-of-the-art induction cooktop and a microwave at a lower level for easy reach.
Apartments Selling Fast
Falcons Landing is taking all the necessary precautions to keep residents and staff safe during the COVID-19. We are currently scheduling safe in-person visits with masks and social distancing.
